NuPerley Butyl-S

Butyl-S (butyl sulfide) filler is a hydrophobic chromatography medium formed by modifying a spacer arm with a length of twelve atoms on the surface of the agarose gel microsphere skeleton, and then coupling the n-butyl group through a thioether bond. The ligand design of butyl sulfide is to show different selectivity with other hydrophobic chromatography media. The main principle is that different target molecules have different interactions with sulfur atoms, and the corresponding chromatography categories can be subdivided into thiophilic hydrophobic chromatography. Butyl-S fillers are widely used in the separation, purification and renaturation of proteins, as well as in the purification of enzymes, virus particles, antibodies and nucleic acids. NUPTEC Bio offers two Butyl-S fillers Butyl-S NUPharose FF and NuPerley Butyl-S. Butyl-S NUPharose FF is based on NuPharose technology platform, which has the characteristics of good compatibility between agarose matrix and bioactive macromolecules, less non-specific adsorption and fast flow rate. NuPerley Butyl-S is based on a new generation of high rigidity agarose NuPerley technology platform, which has the characteristics of high rigidity, high flow rate and high load on the basis of NUPharose technology.
