Professional Manufaturer of Resins for Protein Purification
Catalog No:
NRPB136L
Product Name:
Con A NUPharose FF
Con A NUPharose FF is a biological Affinity chromatograph separation medium formed by bonding Concanavalin A(Con A) to agarose gel microspheres. It is mainly used for the separation and purification of various glycoproteins (including glycoprotein viruses), polysaccharides and glycolipids with mannitol and glucose residues. Con A is a tetrameric metalloprotein extracted from Concanavala and a type of lectin. In the presence of Mn2 + and Ca2 +, it can bind α-D-mannopyranosyl, α-D-glucopyranosyl and molecules with sterically related residues of C- 3, C- 4 or C- 6 hydroxyl groups.
The application fields of Con A NUPharose FF also include the purification of enzyme-antibody conjugates, the purification of IgM, the separation and purification of cell surface glycoproteins in detergent-dissolved membranes, the separation of membrane vesicles, and the study of changes in the composition of carbohydrate-containing substances.
