Product Name:

Wild-type streptavidin

Streptavidin (Streptavidin,SA) is a homotetrameric protein secreted by Streptomyces avidin (Streptomyces avidinii) during growth. Like avidin, one mole of streptavidin can bind four moles of biotin, with a high affinity for biotin. Since SA does not contain a sugar group and the isoelectric point is close to neutral, SA has a lower level of non-specific binding in detection applications than pro. The product has been widely used in a variety of biotechnology fields, such as: coating microplates for immunodetection, preparing SA-coupled enzyme preparations, SA-coupled fluorescein, SA-coupled magnetic beads, etc., and then participating in enzyme-linked immunosorbent and enzyme catalytic amplification experiments, immunohistochemistry, biological molecule purification, biosensors, biological nanospheres, pre-targeted pharmaceutical research and biochip materials, etc. (The wild-type streptavidin does not carry any tag, pI:6.1)

Note:

1. Streptavidin lyophilized powder is easily soluble in water, and the solubility can reach 10 mg/mL or higher;
2. It is recommended to use pure water for dissolution;
3. If there are undissolved substances, it is recommended to extend the redissolution time. The insoluble matter can also be removed by centrifugation or other means, and then used in subsequent experiments, which will not have a great impact on the total protein.
4. Considering the particularity of protein, freeze-dried powder is recommended to be used now, and repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided after dissolution. If it needs to be used many times, it is recommended to freeze and store (-20 ℃) after packaging as required. Avoid long-term storage at 4 ℃.
