Recombinant Core Streptavidin

Streptavidin (Streptavidin,SA) is a homotetrameric protein secreted by Streptomyces avidin (Streptomyces avidinii) during growth. Like avidin, one mole of streptavidin can bind four moles of biotin, with a high affinity for biotin. Since streptavidin does not contain sugar groups and the isoelectric point is close to neutral, streptavidin has a lower level of non-specific binding in detection applications than pro-biotin. Compared with natural streptavidin, the recombinant core streptavidin removes the sequence unrelated to the activity, only retains the core sequence related to the activity, and is superior to natural streptavidin in stability and solubility, and adds cysteine to the C- terminal, which can be covalently bonded to the carrier. 1. Recombinant core streptavidin lyophilized powder is easily soluble in water, and the solubility can reach 10 mg/mL or higher;
