Professional Manufaturer of Resins for Protein Purification
Catalog No:
NRPA11S
Product Name:
Recombinant human epidermal growth factor
Mature human epidermal growth factor (hEGF) is a single-chain low-molecular-weight polypeptide composed of 53 amino acids, with a molecular weight of about 6.2kDa, containing 6 cysteines, forming 3 pairs of disulfide bonds in the chain, stable to acid, alkali and heat, and resistant to degradation by enzymes such as trypsin, chymotrypsin and pepsin. hEGF plays a variety of biological functions by binding to the specific EGF receptor (EGFR) on the cell surface, and can be used in the treatment of surgical trauma, skin ulcer, peptic ulcer, corneal injury, tissue repair and so on.
hEGF can automatically combine with EGFR on the cell membrane near the wound, thereby activating protein kinase, accelerating the synthesis of DNA, RNA and protein, promoting and regulating the growth and value-added of epidermal cells, making the wound heal quickly and repairing skin tissue.
The recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rh-EGF) is expressed by extracellular secretion, the amino acid sequence and molecular structure are consistent with the natural hEGF, and has complete biological activity.
